The Apampa-led faction is being compensated and is carrying out the directives of their paymasters-Kenneth Okonkwo.

Kenneth Okonkwo, the spokesperson for the Labour Party's presidential campaign, claims that the faction lead by Lamidi Apapa has been paid to destabilize the party. In an interview with News Central TV, he stated that the urgent action to seek an exparte order was unnecessary, as their rights had not been violated in a way that necessitated it. He further accused them of targeting the party's presidential tribunal and other sub-regional, House of Representatives, and Senate cases.

Okonkwo stated that the faction's actions were a diversion from the party's objectives and accused them of being paid agents. As evidence of their disloyalty, he displayed photographs of them raising the hands of the gubernatorial candidates of the governing party in the Southwest and dining with the presidential candidate of the ruling party.

Okonkwo expressed confidence that despite their attempts to use the judiciary to achieve their objectives, they will fail and that the party will not succumb to their deceit. The allegations raise concerns for the Labour Party's future and emphasize the need for greater transparency in party politics.
