The Defeat Of My Brothers In Their Elections Is Irrelevant; We Have Accomplished Our Primary Objective.

Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, in response to the demise of Governors Samuel Ortom, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyu, and Ikpeazu in their bids for the senate. Wike, speaking at the banquet held in Tinubu's honor, stated that the defeat of the three G5 governors is irrelevant.

He stated that their primary objective was to secure the Presidency for the South, and they were successful in achieving this objective. He added that their loss has not diminished their worth, and they should be regarded as great individuals who contributed to Bola Tinubu's electoral victory.

He stated, "Of course, my three brothers, Ortom, Ugwuanyi, and Ikpeazu." Today they are casualties, but they believe the unity of this country is more important. They believe that the South should assume more authority. Consequently, they have lost elections, but the loss of my siblings in their elections is irrelevant, as we have accomplished our primary objectives. They stood with us day and night, and although they will not be elected to the Senate, the election was won. Respect them wherever you see them because they are men.
