The Krachi East Municipal Assembly approves the new MCE

Mr. Bernard Aboakogya Mensah, the nominee of President Akufo Addo for the Krachi East Municipal Assembly, has been confirmed as Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) by assembly members.

At the confirmation ceremony held in the Oti Regional Coordinating Council (ORCC) Hall, all 30 members of the Municipal Assembly were present, including 21 elected and 9 appointed members.

Mr. Joshua Gmayenaam Makubu, the regional minister for Oti, stated that the MCE's 100 percent confirmation was a clear indication that a monumental mission lay ahead.

He advised the MCE to welcome all kinds of people, regardless of religion, politics, or tribal affiliation, and to serve society well.

Mr. Mensah, the newly elected MCE, thanked President Akufo-Addo for his confidence and pledged to contribute to the development of Krachi East Municipality.

"I look forward to working with all Assembly members to promote the welfare and well-being of our Municipality's residents and to make Krachi East a better place for all," he said.

He stated that his vision and mission were congruent with those of the municipality, which required, among other things, a great deal of labor in all the municipal councils, but with a united front.

Mr. Samuel Jayon, a member of the Ayerumu Electoral Area Assembly, told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) that they would work harder to assist the MCE in transforming the municipality.

Other Assembly members also pledged to maintain an open administration and collaborate with all types of individuals, regardless of where they reside, to promote domestic development.
