The MTN Zone Bundle Will Return on Friday with New Pricing.

MTN Ghana has reintroduced its most popular Data package, Zone Bundle. MTN informed all customers via text message that its data zone bundle offers will return on Friday, May 5, 2023.

MTN Zone bundle is an innovation that provides consumers with discounted 1-day validity bundles at the point of sale. Subscriptions are handled via the Short Code *135#.

This follows MTN Ghana's April 5 announcement that its MTN Data Zone package would be discontinued.

Wednesday, April 12th, the mobile network issued a press release apologizing to Ghanaians for the suspension of internet bundle offers.

It stated, "The suspension of the innovative Data Zone bundle is due to a review of the bundle offer in accordance with the Significant Market Power (SMP) directives applied to MTN Ghana in June 2020, not to be the lowest priced on any industry offer."

MTN Ghana states that it is "currently engaging and collaborating with the Regulator as we seek alignment on a revised Data Zone bundle to be reinstated as soon as possible." MTN Zone Bundle is presently operational, so this promise has been kept.

On Friday, May 5, 2023, the new prices for the zone bundle will be displayed to Ghanaians. MTN has previously announced that prices will increase. This implies that consumers will spend more money to access more data.
