The New Patriotic Party needs a marketable candidate - Alan John Kyerematen

A flagbearer hopeful of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Alan John Kyerematen says the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) is not looking for a flagbearer but rather someone who NPP can market to the country and beyond Ghana. Apexnewsgh.com report

The former Trade Minister, made the pronouncement when addressing party men and women in Bolgatanga as part of his engagement.

“The delegates who eventually will be deciding who becomes the flagbearer will make a decision to someone who NPP can market to the country and beyond Ghana. Basically, that’s the over-ranking consideration that abreast the attention of delegates”.
He also noted, that the party is looking for somebody who can consolidate the NPP vote in their stronghold in the Ashanti Region.

”We are not looking for a flagbearer, we are looking for somebody who becomes president and by doing so puts NPP in power. We are looking for someone who can consolidate our votes in our strongholds Ashanti region and also dilute the strength of the NDC in their stronghold. We need someone who will unify not just the party but the country and stability to our nation.

However, as part of his tour to the region, Mr. Kyerematen walked through the Bolgatanga Market as he exchanges pleasantries with the market men and women.
