The Pru East ambulance was suspended due to defective injectors.

Mr. Banaku demanded that the government distribute the ambulances immediately to help save lives.

Due to defective injectors, the ambulance donated to the Pru East district in the Bono East Region as part of the government's flagship One-Constituency-One-Ambulance program has been grounded.

According to reports, the ambulance has been inoperable for the past four months.

Due to faulty injectors, he informed the host of the Ghana Yensom morning program, Odehyeeba Kofi Essuman, that the ambulance has not been moved to Kumasi, the regional capital of Ashanti, for maintenance.

According to him, patients must pay between GHS1,700 and GHS2,000 for ambulance services given the current situation.

According to him, the situation has caused concern among some well-meaning district residents.

Municipal Chief Executive Officer of Pru East District Assembly Alhaji Adams Abdullai confirmed that the vehicle was defective.

According to him, the vehicle is immobilized because repair materials are unavailable.

"The officer in charge at Yeji has confirmed that an order for the parts has been placed," he added.

He stated that the Assembly intends to repair the vehicle by the end of the month in order to salvage the situation.

He added that the Assembly will take measures to have the vehicle repaired by the beginning of the following week if the National Ambulance Service's workshop delays in delivering the necessary parts.
