More than 300 supporters of the Vice President from his home region have defected and joined team Alan, according to reports from the North East region of Ghana.

According to the team's spokesperson, Issah Amadu, the support shown by the NPP and Ghanaians on Saturday during the aduru wo so walk has left them in no doubt that Alan is the correct candidate and has what it takes to win the 2024 elections.

According to the spokesperson, they were led to believe that the Vice President enjoyed massive support from grassroots NPP members and Ghanaians in general, whereas Alan was never favored by grassroots NPP members or Ghanaians.

He stated that the large number of people seen on the grounds during the walk demonstrates that Alan is who the Ghanaians want.

They have promised to disseminate the good news about Alan from village to village, town to town, and farm to farm. They claim that the Vice President has asked them to support him because he is one of them, which they have done. However, judging by the massive turnout at the aduru wo so walk, which was not held in Kumasi but in Accra, with such large numbers, they are prepared to help Alan win tremendously.

In the meantime, the group has been assured of their complete acceptance into the large Alan family and will receive full support to campaign vigorously for the NPP and Alan's victory in the 2023 primaries and 2024 general elections.
