When I was a kid, I kept falling until my dad told me to eat fruits. - Bisa Kdei shares her story in a Grammy feature

After his interview with the Recording Academy, often known as The Grammys, was broadcast online, famed Ghanaian highlife performer Bisa Kdei became the talk of the town.

A few personal admissions were made by Bisa Kdei, 37, a guest on the most recent episode of Herbal Tea & White Sofas, a recording academy conversation program featuring international music talents.

The "Mansa" crooner, Richard Kwaku Dei Appiah, made headlines when he talked about his favorite fruits, tea, and snacks.

The performer admitted that he prefers mint tea since it helps him relax when on tour. When mint tea is not available, Bisa Kdei chooses apple juice instead, which he claims has equal advantages.

"I enjoy tea while on my excursions. specifically, mint tea. If I drink tea, I feel better; if not, I like apple juice since it soothes my anxiety and functions as a substitute for tea for me.

Because they make him think of home, he cited plantain chips as a must-pack item.

He claimed that the well-known snack made at home by his late mother dates back to his youth.

I enjoy other munchies as well, including plantain chips. Plantain chips are widely consumed in Ghana. It is available on the streets. My folks bring us plantain chips when they get home from work. Even my mum prepares it for us at home. So it's been a part of me since I was young," he said.

Another facet of his private life that he discussed in the interview was his love of fruits.

He gives his father credit for teaching him to the health benefits of bananas and mangoes, two of his favorite fruits.

Before his father urged him to eat more fruits, Bisa Kdei struggled with disease as a child. He claims that this change in diet helped him become healthier and more vivacious.

"I truly like fruit. Mangoes and bananas are two of my favorites. When I was a kid, I got sick a lot, but then my dad made me eat fruit, and I started feeling better and getting healthy," he said.
