You Have Guided Dr. Bawumia Well - EPA Administrator Lauds Imam

The EPA Administrator, Dr. Henry Kwabena Kokofu, shakes hands with the Chief Imam, Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharabutu.

The Executive Director of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Hon. Dr. Henry Kwabena Kokofu, has thanked the National Chief Imam, Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharabutu, for his continuous guidance and support of the President and Vice President of the Republic of Ghana, His Excellency Dr. Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia.

Dr. Kokofu believes that the spiritual support of the Supreme Leader has been a significant factor in the political success of President Akufo-Addo and Vice President Bawumia.

The Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency has therefore pleaded with the Islamic Leader to continue to offer his wise counsel and spiritual intervention to the seat of government and the entire nation.

The appeal was made by the Honorable Dr. Kokofu during a courtesy call to the National Chief Imam at his residence, where he emphasized the role the Islamic leader has played in maintaining peace and harmony among all religious sects in the country.

The Executive Director of the EPA and his staff were present at the National Chief Imam's official residence to wish him well on the occasion of his 104th birthday.

As their widow's mite for the recently concluded Ramadan festivities, the delegation also made substantial food donations and an undisclosed amount of money to the Office of the National Chief Imam.

Dr. Kokofu stated that the impact the Vice President has had over the years on Ghana's socio-political and economic development has not been accidental, highlighting that as a'spiritual father and guardian,' the National Chief Imam has played a significant role in the life of the most productive and competent Vice President the country has ever had.

He prayed, "May Allah grant you a longer life so that you can continue to guide and support our leaders as they rule this country."

The National Chief Imam thanked the delegation for their visit and generous gesture.

Without peace, Ghana cannot develop as a nation, so he reiterated his call for Ghanaians to continue living in peace and harmony.
