why haven't you revived kumawood?? - Afrane tackles producers who accused Mahama for its collapse

Popular Kumawood Actor Michael Afrane has questioned Kumawood Producers, actors why they have failed to revive Kumawood Movie industry after they accused former President John Mahama of collapsing the industry with ‘Dumsor’.

Some Kumawood Actors including Producers and directors in the run up to the 2016 polls, chastised former President Mahama for killing the industry with Dumsor and reconstruction of the Kejetia market.

Speaking in an interview with Ambassador TV monitored by MyNewsGh.com, Micheal Afrane revealed “Despite the stabilization of the electricity and construction of Kejetia Market, those who accused John Mahama for collapsing the industry have failed to revive the industry”.
According to Michael Afrane “we accused John Dramani Mahama wrongly because the major problem which collapsed the industry wasn’t Dumsor”

“If Dumsor and construction of Kejetia market caused the downfall of the Kumawood Movie Industry, the industry would have been revived after the Dumsor and construction of the Kejetia market’ Michael Afrane told Osei Kwadwo.

“We failed to tackle and uproot the major problems which were collapsing the industry but we rather accused John Dramani Mahama’s administration because of politics”

Michael Afrane added “Actors who campaigned against former President John Dramani Mahama and NDC have regretted because Nana Addo has disappointed them with mismanagement of the economy”

“I can boldly says President Akufo-Addo’s government has not failed to support the movie industry despite his numerous promises which forced some actors to campaigned against former President John Dramani Mahama”, he added.
