Akufo-Addo Dismisses 2 Deputy CEOs

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has terminated the appointment of two Deputy Chief Executive Officers of the Northern Development Authority(NDA).

The dismissal of the two, Patrick Seidu and Stephen Yir-Eru Engmen takes effect from March 21, 2023.

A letter signed by the Chief of Staff, Frema Osei-Opare and addressed to the affected Deputy Chief Executive Officers reads in parts: “You are expected to comprehensively hand over your duties and any official property in your custody to the Chief Executive Officer of the Northern Development Authority before your departure”.

The letter continues that: “We thank you for your services and we wish you the best in your future endeavours".

No reason was given for their dismissal but it is believed that the move forms part of a series of changes that the Akufo-Addo-led government intends to be making in his government in the coming days.
