Watch how MCE for Berekum East collapsed during Independence Day parade(VIDEO)

During this year's 66th Independence Day celebration in Berekum, in the Bono Region, the Municipal Chief Executive for Berekum East, Kofi Agyei, collapsed while giving his speech.

He was swiftly assisted by security personnel and taken to Holy Family Hospital in Berekum for medical attention.

Before his collapse, Kofi Agyei appeared to be in good health.

The National Ambulance Service was present at the event and quickly transported him to the hospital.

Despite the incident, the Presiding Member of the Assembly, Joseph Baffour Awuah, continued to read the speech on behalf of the MCE.

Fortunately, the Municipal Chief Executive is said to be recovering well.

Meanwhile, all other activities during the Independence Day celebration at Golden City Park in Berekum were successful.
