21yr old Eme B prints the memory of Christian Atsu in “Our Black Star”

US Based Ghanaian Gospel Musician Eme B has released a soothing song dedicated to the memory of Ghana’s Christian Atsu. The silky-voiced Gospel Singer has eulogized the former Ghana Black Star player in a well-composed and produced song titled “ A Black Star Goes Home .”The song has the talented vocalist putting in an impeccable vocal performance dynamically to exude the emotions surrounding the late Christian Atsu’s departure. Not a typical lament, a Black Star Goes Home fully reveals the nature of the late footballer, how his departure affects the world, and a belief in his current abode.

Christian Atsu, on the 5th of February, scored a winning goal for his team Hatayspor in Antaykya, Turkey. However, a few hours later, an Earthquake struck, and Christian Atsu was declared missing with his sporting Director. Ghana and the world lifted prayer and remained optimistic as efforts to rescue survivors commenced. Unfortunately, on the 18th of February, 2023, the lifeless Body of Christian Atsu was found in the rubble. All hopes had come to naught. Christian Atsu returned to his maker at the age of 31.



In all of the anguish and pain, Ghanaians worldwide have taken to social media to express their memories of Christian Atsu. It has been one unique story after the other. From being a father, a husband, a son, a pillar for the black stars, to a philanthropist par excellence, Christian Atsu lived a Christian life of Charity.

His life as a Christian informed this beautiful piece of music from Eme B.

Eme B, known in private life as Emerald Serwaah Boateng Bekoe, is a gospel artist with anointing all over her music. Eme B musician discovered her talent at the very young age of 5. However, when she joined her family in the US at 9, she joined the Church Choir to worship and hone her talent. Subsequently, she led the Praise and Worship team at her church.

She later took a break from pursuing music till after High School. After High School, the talented Eme B set out on a journey of an encounter with God. Her quest led to her single, “Who Am I,” released in 2022. Who am I is a story of how God assured her of his unconditional Love. She gained traction through Who Am I and received nominations in 4 categories at the Easter Music Awards 2022. She became a winner in the Gospel Act of the Year and Female Vocalist of the Year.

Later that same year, she released an Urban Gospel jam titled Miracle God. That song brought a different side of her talent to the fore. As if it wasn’t enough, she released Omnipotent in December of 2022.

At age 21, Eme B is drawing people of all ages and nations to Christ.

Death is inevitable; however, our deeds would invariably affect the image the world holds of us. A practicing Christian would shed tears at the death of another; however, the promise of a resurrection informs the belief in death as a repose point for the departed. One day, we shall meet again in Heaven, where it will be eternal Bliss and never any pain. See you in Heaven, Christian Atsu.
