Husband Beheads Wife, Discards Her Body Parts for Suspected Infidelity

A 27-year-old man, identified as Mkwate Chimbizi, has been apprehended for the horrific murder of his wife in Ngabu, Chikwawa, Malawi.

According to Edward Kabango, the South East Police Region spokesperson, who released a statement on June 9, 2023, Chimbizi is accused of brutally ending his wife's life due to his suspicions of her involvement in an extramarital affair.



On Thursday, June 8, the suspect was arrested, and he cooperated with the authorities by disclosing the location where he had buried his wife's decomposed head. Chimbizi had discarded her genitalia and breasts in a pit latrine.

The tragedy unfolded on June 3, 2023, when a heated argument between the couple escalated into a physical altercation. Allegedly, Chimbizi fatally struck his wife, Luwiza Leonard, with a stone, instantly ending her life. He then resorted to using a machete to sever her head, breasts, and private parts.

Currently, efforts are underway to locate the victim's body as the investigation continues.
