Mrs Consuella Effah obeng advises ladies not to be over-dependent on their partners

In a recent interview with Ms Eddy on Kofy Jesse Tv, Mrs Consuella Effah Obeng, a renowned media personnel and teacher, has advised young ladies to avoid being overly dependent on their partners for financial and emotional support.

Mrs. Obeng emphasized that women should prioritize their education, careers, and businesses, as these would equip them with the necessary skills and knowledge to make significant contributions to society.

"Women should never rely solely on their partners for their livelihoods," she said. "They should strive to acquire the education, skills or start a business necessary to be financially independent, as this would not only boost their confidence but also provide them with the resources to support themselves and their families."

Mrs Obeng also highlighted the importance of building strong networks and relationships in the workplace, stating that these could open doors to career opportunities and help women achieve their goals.

"It's crucial for women to establish meaningful connections with their colleagues, superiors, and industry professionals. These relationships can lead to mentorship, guidance, and support, which are all essential for career growth," she added.

Furthermore, Mrs Obeng encouraged women to be proactive in their relationships, rather than passive recipients of their partners' affection and attention.

"Ladies should take the initiative to contribute to their relationships and not solely depend on their partners for emotional support. It's important to communicate openly and honestly with one's partner and establish a healthy balance of give-and-take in the relationship," she advised.

Mrs Obeng's advice comes at a time when gender equality and empowerment are at the forefront of global conversations, with many organizations and individuals working towards creating a more equitable world for women.

As a successful woman and philanthropist working to empower women, Mrs. Obeng's words carry weight and are sure to inspire many young women to pursue their dreams and achieve their goals without fear or hesitation.
