Naa Tia apologises for describing God as 'wicked', says he was ignorant



Popular spiritualist in Ghana, Naa Tia Salifu has apologised for saying that God is 'wicked' helping those who help themselves according to Islam and Christianity.

In an exclusive interview with Sagani TV on Tuesday's evening, January 17, Naa Tia who is now a chief of Bogu in Gushegu traditional area, he said it was ignorant on his part to have said that.

According to him, he didn't know his comments were sacrilegious until his attention was drawn to it by prominent chiefs in Dagbon.



"It is wicked for God to say he helps those who help themselves. God must be very wicked to do that. He should rather help those who cannot help themselves", Naa Tia told Vibes In 5 host.

But speaking to Sagani TV's Inusah Lansah on his apology, he said he was going to apologise to every Muslim leader and chiefs of Dagbon who in one way or another was not happy with his statement.

"National chief Imam, Sheikh Osman Nuhu Shaributu, if after hearing my comments he was not happy, I am sorry. I sincerely apologise to him. I never intended to speak ill if Islamic religion. I said that put of ignorance...", he apologised on live TV.
