Northern Region: Darul Tawheed institute enrolls 500 people On NHIS

Darul Tawheed institute, a non-governmental organization has enrolled 500 residents of Savelugu in the northern region on the National Health Insurance Scheme.

The enrolment is a community support initiative to meet the health needs of the people, especially widows, adolescent girls and boys, the youth, elderly and children.

In a speech read on behalf Doctuur Mohammed Abu Dujaana, executive director of the institute, noted the move was in fulfillment of what the prophet (SAW) stated in the Hadith on helping others in difficult.

''...We are inspired by several prophetic narrations including hadith in Saheeh Muslim (No.2699), where Prophet (SAW) is reported to have said that,

“Whosoever removes a hardship among the hardships of this world from a believer, Allah will remove a hardship from him on the day of Judgment.”

“Whoever brings ease to the one who is in difficulty, Allah will bring him ease in this world and in the Hereafter.”

He added that with the little they are doing, he believe it will encourage other Muslim communities in Ghana especially within the north to contribute to eliminate basic health problems within our various communities.

“We are by this, sending out words of encouragement to Muslims in Ghana and the world at large to take it upon themselves to find solutions to basic health problems and to prevent and or control basic health implications that affect our people most especially women, children and the aged.”
