Northern media should endure to play most songs from our part of the country - Mohammed Hafiz Advises

In a bid to forge a stronger and more cohesive entertainment industry in Northern Ghana, media houses and presenters have been called upon to prioritize the promotion and broadcasting of a significant majority of local content, regardless of its perceived merit. This clarion call was made by none other than radio and TV personality, Mohammed Hafiz, during his appearance on the "All Inclusive Show" hosted by Hassan Dablee on Zaa Radio 99.3 FM.

Mr. Hafiz, a respected figure in the region's media landscape, stressed the importance of nurturing a sense of unity and cultural pride through the representation of local talents and stories. He emphasized that while quality remains crucial, it's equally important to support and amplify the voices of artists and creators from Northern Ghana. By doing so, he argued, the region can establish a unique identity within the larger entertainment landscape of the country.

During the candid discussion, Mohammed Hafiz highlighted the potential positive impacts of embracing this strategy. He pointed out that the exposure of local talents on mainstream platforms can lead to increased recognition and opportunities for artists who might otherwise struggle to gain visibility. Additionally, he suggested that by showcasing the rich cultural heritage of Northern Ghana through music, film, and other forms of entertainment, the region can attract tourism and investment, thus bolstering its economic prospects.

However, this stance has also sparked some debate within the media community. Critics argue that promoting content solely based on its geographical origin might compromise the overall quality of the entertainment industry. They stress the importance of maintaining a balance between showcasing local talents and ensuring that only the most deserving works receive the spotlight.

Hassan Dablee, the host of the "All Inclusive Show," acknowledged both sides of the argument and facilitated a nuanced discussion during the broadcast. He pointed out that the challenge lies in striking the right equilibrium between promoting local culture and maintaining high artistic standards.
