Social media erupts in confusion over photo of actor Amenyah’s wife on their wedding day

On social media, there is a cacophony of chatter about a picture of Harold Amenyah’s wife, Irene Owusu that was taken at his traditional wedding.

In the inadvertent viral photo, many online commenters made fun of the woman’s appearance and questioned why a handsome man like Harold chose an unsuitable woman like Irene.

The image was first shared by media personality Caroline Sampson on her social media platform alongside a caption which reads; “Guy no got married.”

Trolls grasped the opportunity right away, and as insults flew in all directions directed at the woman, others jumped to her defence and insisted that she is a stunning woman.

They claim the camera angle and lighting are to blame for her not-pleasant looks as portrayed in the photo.

Abby Awuni wrote: “99% of the stuuup!d comments are coming from women who are no better than her. The 1% is from the Ghc50 beggar”.

Adwoa Animah had this to say, “So according to some of you, per your beauty standards, this lady isn’t beautiful and beneath the guy? Nah some of you calling you sick will be insulting to real sick people”.

“The most disparaging comments are coming from women. They’ll come after me but I don’t mind. Women are their own enemies. Men never do these things. Almost everything, it’s women doing these things to fellow women,” Eugene Osei Tutu posted.
