Tamale College of Education Beats Bagabaga College of Education To Win The Maiden Debating Competition

For good ideas and true innovation, you need human interaction, conflict, argument, and debate. It is better to debate a question without settling it than to settle a question without debating it.

Tamale College of Education has beaten Bagabaga College of Education to win the maiden edition of 'TACE MEETS BACE' on the debating aspect.

The debating competition was held in latest hours of Friday, November 25, 2022 at the Sackey Hall in the TACE community. It was judged by three revered, impartial, and unbiased personalities from reputable institutions who have strong background knowledge of the English language in general and debate in particular.

The debate was one of the three events organized by the Entertainment Committee of the Tamale College of Education. Generally captioned 'TACE Meets BACE', the other events are Talent Show and Football Match.

At the end of the competition on the bone of contention "Comprehensive Sex Education Must Be Taught In Basic Schools", TACE won with a total of 80 points, and BACE forfeited with 77.5 points. Certificates of participation and packages were awarded to the contestants.

Represented the Tamale College of Education were Miss Abubakari Rukaya, Miss Alhassan Raihana and Mr. Hudu Ibrahim and the contestants for the Bagabaga College of Education; Mr. Adamu Abdul-Majeed, Mr. Zoyaari Zagribob Matthew, and Miss Seidu Rukaya.

Meanwhile, the rest of the activities, namely; the Talent Show and the Football match will take place on November 26 and November 27 respectively.
