3 Injured After Fatal Accident At Ekumfi

Three persons were injured in an accident involving a Toyota Vitz with registration number GT 9427-21 and a Toyota Yaris with registration number GR 2326-23 at Essuehyia Sawaba in the Ekumfi District.


According to reports, the incident occurred today around noon.

The Toyota Vitz was reported to be traveling from Takoradi to Accra, while the other Toyota Yaris was reported to be traveling from Accra to Cape Coast.


According to reports, there were vehicles ahead of the Toyota Vitz, but the driver attempted to pass them while the saloon car was traveling in the opposite direction in the same lane, resulting in a head-on collision.

According to reports, the driver of the Vitz is a member of the military.

The two occupants and a female passenger of the Toyota Vitz are reported to have sustained injuries.

The woman is reportedly in critical condition and has been transported to the Winneba Hospital, while the two drivers are receiving treatment at the Essuehyia Hospital.

The police arrived at the accident site and towed the vehicles to safety.


According to reports, both drivers have responded to treatment and are assisting the police with their investigations.

In the meantime, it has been confirmed that three persons were killed in a car accident in Ntoaso, Nsawam Adoagyiri Municipality.

A 44 Kia Sorento with the unregistered number DV 9593-B and two Benz Sprinter buses with the respective registration numbers GW 8962-22 and GT 5596-14 were involved.


According to reports, the tragedy occurred around 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 6.

According to eyewitness accounts, a speeding Kia Sorento collided with two halted buses along the roadway.

Several individuals sustained injuries of differing severity and were transported to the Nsawam Government Hospital for treatment.

Officers from the Ghana Police Service rushed to the site of the accident to initiate an investigation.
