But if you think you know everything about spotting a cheating partner, you might want to think again. Below, we’ve listed some small behaviours that may indicate your man is cheating on you.

1. He passes on date night

Avoidance, or worse, a lack of intimacy, can be red flags to watch out for in a relationship or marriage.
According to Dr Nicole Zapien, a professor of psychology at California State, "It's a quit or relapse scenario."

If he's cheating, it's possible that his emotional or sexual desires are being satisfied elsewhere, which means he's no longer interested in you.

2. Feeling in the guts

Your partner may be covering their tracks well, they may be doing all the relationship stuff and giving you the same level of exciting energy, but deep down you feel like you’re just cheating or playing games.

There is no evidence and no basis for accusing him of cheating, but the feeling will not go away. Don’t ignore the feeling, says Zapien.
“A lot of times we ignore these intuitions only to confirm them later,” he says

3. Gifts and compliments

People may think this is a good sign that a man is in love and happy with his partner, but sometimes it is not.

Praise and frequent gifts can try to suppress unspoken guilt or cover up negative feelings.

Another researcher, Degus-White, said that guilt can be a powerful stimulus, and if a couple's love is strong, it can be enhanced by more than usual kindness toward the unsuspecting partner.

"The mentality is, 'I can't stop cheating, but I can be a better person with my spouse.'
