Accra Market Queens Secure Nomination Form For Alan Kyerematen

Alan Kyerematen, a flagbearer aspirant of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), made an additional step yesterday in his bid to lead the ruling party as its presidential candidate in the 2024 general elections.

Some market ladies on behalf of the former Minister of Trade and Industry visited the party's headquarters in Accra to obtain nomination forms.

Shortly after collecting the forms, the group informed the press that they are in the vanguard of soliciting and mobilizing support from the grassroots level for Mr. Kyerematen.

According to the women, their presence at the party's headquarters was due to the Kumasi Central Market women's concerns.

One Comfort Serwaa, leader of the Kumasi Tomato sellers union and leader of the market queens, stated that although the market women are uncertain about who will become the next leader of the NPP, they support their queens unreservedly.

She claimed that all of the market women had expressed their willingness to raise campaign funds for Alan.

They believe that Mr. Kyerematen has a greater understanding of market women and their industry due to his years of ministry experience.

Therefore, our presence here today is in recognition of that, she said.

The group thanked President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for the policy of free senior high school.
