Adom Media Group Donates GH¢98k To Kidney Patient To Assist With Her Kidney Transplant In India

The Akan Brand, on behalf of the Multimedia Group Ltd, has compassionately donated GHC98,504.54 to Priscilla Parry to assist with her kidney transplant in India.

Priscilla, who is in her early 40s, was diagnosed with renal failure by the Renal Department at Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital on April 23, 2019. Due to the injury to both of her kidneys, she requires $45,000 for a kidney transplant in India.

However, due to financial constraints, she has been on dialysis since she was unable to undertake the surgery.

Twice per week, Priscilla undergoes dialysis, with each session costing GHC450. Her narrative was discovered by Adom News on March 9, 2023, which coincided with World Kidney Day. After sharing her heartbreaking tale on our platforms, our listeners and viewers expressed their sympathy for her and decided to support her.

Through their philanthropic contributions and our corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives, we were able to raise GHC98,504.54 to help fund her surgery.

AC Ohene, Head of News and Current Affairs, presented Priscilla with a donation check and conveyed our brand's desire to help raise the $45,000 necessary for the transplant.

He expressed appreciation to our devoted audience for their support of Priscilla Parry.

Priscilla Parry expressed her sincere appreciation for the audience's assistance and asked for their continued assistance in raising the remaining funds for her transplant.

The Akan Brand and Multimedia Group Ltd is committed to assisting Priscilla on her path to improved health, and we are grateful to all those who have contributed to this worthy cause.
