All Excited As Education Minister Pays Suprise Visit To His Class 3 Teacher

Visit by Social Minister to Pic

How would you feel if a Minister of State you taught in third grade unexpectedly visited your residence to express gratitude for the role you played in shaping his or her life?

I dare say it would be one of your finest moments as a teacher.

Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, Ghana's Education Minister, paid a visit to Teacher Dapaah, an 87-year-old retired teacher popularly known as Teacher Dapaah in the Ashanti Region.

As his family introduced him to a former student who had become a Cabinet Minister, the eightieth-year-old, who appeared frail and had trouble speaking, could only make enthusiastic facial expressions.

Even though he was unable to respond to the Minister's pleasantries, the elderly man's demeanor suggested that he was enjoying the fruits of his labor.

He wore a warm smile as he shook Dr. Adutwum's hand with so much pride and honor, indicating that he will expire a happy man for having witnessed that moment.

The Minister, who had been on a four-day working trip in the Ashanti Region, took some time out of his schedule to visit his long-retired former teacher.

According to him, meeting his teacher for the first time after many years brought back fond memories of his elementary school days at Jachie in the Bosomtwe District, where he grew up.

He commended Mr. Dapaah for being a part of his formative years and prayed for God's continued blessings on his sacrifices as a teacher who has helped shape the lives of many students.
