Anas Aremeyaw Anas's Glass Factory And Apartments To Be Demolished Following Court's Ruling

Plans are ongoing to demolish a glass factory in Tse-Ado and a collection of apartment buildings constructed and owned by investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas, in accordance with a court order.

Following a court order instructing investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas to cease construction on disputed land until the resolution of the dispute, Anas Aremeyaw Anas continued his construction project, resulting in the Court's decision to demolish the structures.

Following the issuance of a final judgment against Anas Aremeyaw Anas, the landowner, Adolf Tetteh Adjei, intends to demolish the structures and enterprises owned by Anas on the property.

Justice Kwame Gyamfi Osei, the presiding judge, awarded Ghs100,000 to Adolf Tetteh Adjei, stating that the landowner should use the funds for the demolition rather than Anas Aremeyaw Anas.

Anas Aremeyaw Anas reportedly made multiple attempts to negotiate with the landowner and offer complete payment for the land to prevent the demolition of his factory and apartments following the court's decision.

Adolf Tetteh Adjei has expressed a lack of interest in selling Anas the land. As justification for his refusal to engage in any land transaction with Anas, he cited the years of alleged harassment and intimidation by Anas Aremeyaw Anas, including the involvement of land security and police.
