"Breaking The 8" Akoto Afriyie's Style Of Leadership Is Needed - NPP Group PFN

Patriotic Front for NPP(PFN) has described the former Minister for Food and Agriculture, the Honorable Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto, as the finest candidate to lead the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) to victory in the upcoming election.

The group contends that the former Agric Minister's impeccable personal and political history makes him the most qualified candidate to lead the governing party in the general elections scheduled for December 2024.

According to them, given the current political climate and the fact that Ghana is experiencing a global economic meltdown, the party will need a leader who is decisive, courageous, and competent with an unblemished track record to challenge the opposition National Democratic Congress on December 7 of next year.

In a statement issued and signed by the group's Chairman, Mustapha Monsoon, and Spokesperson, Cephas Acheampong, the PFN stated that "Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto meets all the criteria necessary to lead the NPP into a crucial election on December 7, 2024."

According to them, the transformation Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto brought to the agricultural sector and the unprecedented success he accomplished with the introduction of the Planting for Food and Jobs flagship programs distinguish him from his peers.

The group argued that under the leadership of Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto, the agricultural sector experienced an unprecedented 8.4% increase in GDP, primarily due to the former minister's policies and programs.

Dr. Akoto appears to be the compromise candidate who can unite a party whose front has become polarized as a result of fictionalism, according to the group.

No other aspirant comes close to Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto in terms of support and contribution to the NPP, they said, adding that the former Minister for Food and Agriculture's contributions to the NPP both in opposition and in government are incalculable.

The PFN has therefore made an impassioned appeal to party delegates not to allow themselves to be influenced by financial considerations, but rather to consider the paramount interest of the NPP when selecting a candidate to lead the party.
