CLOSSAG Warns Government , Do Not Touch Our Pensions

As part of its efforts to revive the economy, the Civil and Local Government Staff Association (CLOGSAG) has warned the government not to break its promise to include pensioners in the DDEP.

Pension funds were initially excluded from the debt exchange program, but the Finance Minister stated in a recent interview that discussions are currently ongoing with labor unions to determine how their pension funds can be utilized to assist the government in achieving certain goals.

The union has stated that it is their responsibility to prevent funding cuts.

Protecting Pensions and Incomes Now to Prevent a Crisis in Old Age" Mr. Kojo Kakrani explained that the union would tirelessly advocate for favorable working conditions.

"CLOGSAG is sending a warning signal to all forces, visible and invisible, to avoid the current pension arrangements enshrined in the national pension act, 2008 Act 766. Those with ears, please hear this message."
