Cultist Kills Four Persons In A River

In the Rundele community of Rivers State's Emohua Local Government Area, cultists murdered four people and severed the heads of two of the victims.

This event took place on Monday, May 29, 2023. Two members of a local vigilante organization known as the Rundele Security and Peace Advisory Council were beheaded.

Several inhabitants of the area slept in the bushes until Tuesday morning.

Endurance and Aboy were identified as the beheaded vigilantes.

The RUSPAC members were assaulted while they were resting, catching them by surprise.

They were executed, and their severed skulls were displayed in a community location known as Station.

The perpetrators are members of the Dey-Gbam cult who fled the community and subsequently regrouped to launch the attack.

Grace Iringe-Koko, the spokesperson for the state's Police Public Relations Officer, verified the deaths and described the incident as a clash between two rival gangs.

Iringe-Koko stated that no arrests have been made, but an investigation is underway to apprehend the perpetrators.

She stated that it was a cult conflict between Ice Land and Dey-Gbam during which four people were murdered.
