DJ Mensah Urges Fantana To Focus On Her Music And Ignore Negativity

Francine Nyanko Koffie, known by her stage name Fantana, is a Ghanaian-American Afro-dancehall musician. Following the premiere of season 2 of the popular African reality television series Young, Famous & African on Netflix, she has received some backlash on social media over the past twenty-four hours.

Some Ghanaian social media users have attacked her for claiming in her introductory statement on the television program that she is the most popular female dancehall artist in Ghana.

According to many of her critics, the 'Girls Hate On Girls' singer has no right to make this claim because she is not Ghana's most renowned female dancehall artist.

Popular Ghanaian DJ Mensah has resorted to social media in response to the backlash and assaults against her.

In a tweet, Sarkodie's personal DJ advised Fantana not to allow negativity on social media to bring her down.

He added that he was so proud of her for embarking on this voyage and urged her to keep her focus because other Ghanaians are cheering for her.

"Hey, @iamfantana, don't let the naysayers get you down! I am ecstatic that you have decided to embark on this new and thrilling venture. Maintain your focus and determination, and your success will speak for itself. You have an ardent ally! The totality of DJ Mensah's tweet reads, "#youngrich&famous #Netflix."

On May 19, 2023, Netflix hosted the premiere of the new season of the reality show.
