Daylight drama as woman caught beating's lover bitting lower lips charge in court

A middle age woman from Embakasi East who allegedly bit her husband’s lover and threatened to take her flesh to a witch doctor has been charged with assault and causing bodily harm.

According to prosecution reports presented to the court, Ms Caroline Mboya is facing charges of injuring Ms Mercy Nekesa Wanjala, contrary to section 251 of the penal code.

On the material day, the complainant, who works as a house help in a city estate, was on her way to a shop when she met Ms Mboya.
The court also heard that the accused, who had suspected the victim of having an affair with her husband, stormed into her house and slapped her before wrestling her down mercilessly.

Ms Mboya is reported to have accosted Ms Wanjala while accusing her of cohabiting with her husband. In the ensuing confrontation, Ms Mboya allegedly bit Ms Wanjala on the lower lip.
It was gathered that the accused used a razor blade to slash the husband's lover's hair before tearing off her clothes.

The accused person then allegedly told the victim that she would take the piece of flesh from the lip to Ukambani to bewitch her.

She was filmed holding on to the woman’s hair as she paraded her around apartment blocks, while her teenage sons and their friends could be heard howling with laughter.

The victim's closest friends and family later shared the video clip online to boast about the attack, which prompted social media users to make a police complaint against the family.

After the complaint was made, the police launched an investigation to find the victim and identified her after her sister took her to the station to give a statement.

She told the police that the man said he was single, and they had been dating for five months before the incident.
