During a meeting with the Ashanti Regional Health Managers, Mr. Agyamang Manu stated that the Scheme was not functioning properly and needed to be resurrected.

As a result of this, former President John Dramani Mahama demanded that the Minister step down from his position if he is unable to effectively manage the country's health system.
