Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II issued a challenge to the Foundation Vice-Chancellor of the Akenten Appiah-Menka University of Skills Training and Entrepreneurial Development (AAMUSTED) to adopt the practices of the world's leading universities.

The Asantehene stated during the investiture of Prof. Frederick Kwaku Sarfo (PhD) as the First Vice-Chancellor of AAMUSTED on Friday, May 26, 2023 at the New Auditorium that periodic and extensive review of programs and quality research will propel the university to the forefront as a leader in the development of Ghana and beyond.

"I will advise and encourage you to build the capacity of your faculties, regularly review your programs, and engage in joint research." Share your findings with the government and industry."

"Make your programs, products, and faculties relevant in addressing national and global needs and challenges," the Asantehene emphasized.

Referring to his experiences at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), where he serves as Chancellor, the Asantehene admonished the Vice-Chancellor to maintain a positive rapport with the faculty and students at all times.

"Ensure prudent management and efficient utilisation of resources. Encourage cooperation and collaboration between the administration, faculty, and student body, said the Asantehene.

In the meantime, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II congratulated Prof. Sarfo on his appointment as the University's inaugural Vice-Chancellor and urged him to work even harder.
