Ernest Nuamah Earns His First Black Stars Call Up

The performances of 19-year-old Ernest Nuamah for Danish club Nordjsaelland have earned him his first call-up to the Black Stars.

Chris Hughton has invited 24 players to the Ghana vs. Madagascar Afcon qualifying match in Antananarivo.

Nuamah has scored 15 goals in 33 appearances for Nordsjaelland and was selected for the Afcon qualifying doubleheader between Algeria and the Black Meteors.

Alidu Seidu and Kwasi Okyere Wreidt have been reinstated to the Black Stars in the interim.

Andre Ayew and Thomas Partey, along with Mohammed Kudus and Jordan Ayew, maintain their positions.

However, there is no space for Club Brugge's Kamal Sowah, who has been called up four times but has yet to compete.

Antoine Semenyo of Bournemouth is also injured and unavailable.

Hugton selects Nuamah instead of Sowah for Ghana's AFCON 2023Q match against Madagascar.

The Black Stars will face Madagascar on June 18 and presently lead Group E with eight points.
