Former Alan Kyerematen's Ally Declares Support For Dr. Bawumia

Kofi Dzamesi, a former ally of Alan, declares his support for Dr. Bawumia.
Kofi Dzamesi, a former ally of Alan Kyerematen, has announced his support for Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia in the impending New Patriotic Party (NPP) Flagbearer election.

At a meeting of NPP party stalwarts in the Volta Region on Friday, the former Volta Regional Minister and current CEO of Bui Power Authority stated unequivocally that Vice President Bawumia is the best candidate seeking to lead the party in the 2020 elections.

"Dr. Bawumia is the only NPP candidate capable of breaking the 8." I endorse him," Kofi Dzamesi said.

He continued by praising Dr. Bawumia and making additional persuasive arguments to indicate his support and also garner support for the Vice President.

Kofi Dzamesi's public support for Dr. Bawumia adds to the expanding number of prominent former Alan supporters who have jumped aboard the Bawumia train.

Frederick Opare Ansah, who played prominent roles in Alan's previous flagbearer campaign, recently stunned many on live radio by announcing his support for Vice President Bawumia's candidacy.

Several other critical personnel who worked for Alan at the national, regional, constituency, and electoral levels have defected to Dr. Bawumia, the bookmaker's overwhelming favorite to become the next leader of the NPP.

The Vice President enjoys tremendous support from both the leadership and the base of the party.

The NPP officially begins accepting nominations for its presidential election on May 26.
