Ghanaians Have Lost Respect For Politicians Due To Their Own Conduct - Kwabena Agyepong

Kwabena Agyei Agyepong, former general secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has revealed that Ghanaians have lost respect for legislators due to their own conduct.

He indicates that the behavior of a few politicians has led to the stereotyping of all politicians, despite the fact that there are some honest politicians.

According to him, the majority of Ghanaians view politics as a way to make fast money, and as a result, they no longer respect politicians, as they perceive them to be seeking to use their positions to enrich themselves.

The majority of Ghanaians view politics as a way to make money, he said on Hello Fm in Kumasi, which was monitored by Chris News Media.

Former Presidential Spokesperson revealed that it is incumbent upon politicians to alter the narrative by acting in a manner that restores the confidence of the Ghanaian populace.

"This is the case due to the behavior of some legislators in the country. These are the negative examples we should not emulate. It should be up to some of us politicians to alter the discourse." He encouraged.

The NPP presidential candidate revealed his intention to alter the status quo by stating, "My passion is the transformation of the Ghanaian people, not just for politicians." Because we elect politicians to care for our resources and govern the nation, they must set a good example. I have come to introduce myself because I believe God has endowed me with a skill set; I am a complex individual."
