Has Peter Amewu Endorse Alan?

Mr. John Peter Amewu, Minister for Railways Development, was spotted with New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential candidate John Alan Kwadwo Kyeremanten at the funeral of the late Member of Parliament (MP) for Kumawu, Philip Basoah, on Saturday.

It is unclear whether it was merely a coincidence or a discreet endorsement of the former Minister of Trade and Industry's candidacy for NPP Flagbearer.

Mr. Amewu, the Member of Parliament (MP) for Hohoe in the Oti Region, has remained silent about his preferred candidate despite reports from 2008 and 2012 linking him to Alan Kyeremanten.

However, videos circulating on various social media platforms showed him walking alongside Alan Kyeremanten as he arrived at the funeral grounds to acclaim.

Mr. Amewu will join the ranks of appointees who have publicly supported Alan's candidacy if it is confirmed that he has not defected to the camp of another candidate.

The first member of the Akufo-Addo administration to publicly support Alan was the Deputy Minister of Finance, Abena Osei-Asare.

This month, she participated in a Health Walk for a New Patriotic Party (NPP) candidate, much to the astonishment of many.

As they walked through Accra's Principal Streets in the "'Aduru Wo So Health Walk" to raise funds for the candidate, trained chartered accountants were observed smiling broadly and exhibiting an athletic demeanor.
