The reigning Artiste of the Year, Black Sherif, has disclosed how he avoids being affected by internet criticism.

Blacko, as he is known, stated as a guest on UTV's United Showbiz, "What you read online may be someone's way of having fun, but it can affect you and ultimately become your reality."

"On my phone, I have a social media time limit. I don't use Instagram after 9 p.m., for instance," he said, showing MzGee the schedule on his phone that restricts his social media usage.

According to him, social media venters are incapable of confronting the individuals they disparage in person. This causes me to completely disregard social media.

Someone could post something about someone and, based on the engagements on the post, present it to a company seeking influencers to promote them with the statement, "Look, whenever I post, I receive these engagements." The songwriter of "Kwaku the traveler" stated, "I cannot allow anyone to profit from me."

Even on WhatsApp, he only activates his data connection to contact his parents in Greece.

In June, Black Sherif will release a new album, he revealed. According to him, it is a compilation of songs, but he refuses to call it an album; instead, he prefers the term "project."
