I Don't Have Liver Related Disease Or Stroke - Kidi

Dennis Nana Dwamena, aka KiDi, a Ghanaian international music icon, has stated categorically that he does not have liver disease or a stroke.

The Sugar Daddy-nicknamed singer-songwriter stated this on an unaired episode of Accra-based TV3's Stripped.

"You can see me," he told host Sika Osei, arms outstretched as if for an examination. "I don't have a stroke."

Regarding the rumor surrounding the cancellation of his Golden Boy North America Tour on February 24, 2023, he stated, "It was one of the craziest things I've ever heard."

The Afrobeats/Highlife performer added, "I want to state categorically that I do not have a liver disease."

The rumors about KiDi's liver were sparked by a line from his most recent popular song titled "I Lied."

In the song, he sings about feigning to be okay while actually struggling with emotional and physiological issues.

"If I tell you I'm okay, I'm lying," begins the song.

In a different section, he sings, "If I show you my liver, you take me to prayer."

Saturday, May 6, Dennis 'KiDi' Dwamena performed the song at the recently concluded 24th Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.

It is the first time the 'Champagne' hitmaker has performed live since his hiatus, which, in his own words, was caused by "health issues."

Sharing a portion of his performance on Facebook on May 7, he captioned it, "Back to business [handshake emoji]"
