I Will Be Thankful If I'm Crowned Artise Of The Year - Black Sherif

Black Sherif, a musician, appears to have planned all of his responses to potential victories and losses at the 24th Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.

In an interview , the 'Kwaku The Traveller' hitmaker stated that he will be grateful if he wins the most coveted award of the evening, 'Artiste of the Year'.

When asked about his celebratory plans, Black Sherif stated that he would rather deliver a speech recognizing the efforts many individuals have made to get him to this point.

He added that he would conduct an intimate thanksgiving service with his "rasta" men after his speech to celebrate his victory.

Black Sherif stated that if he does not win, he will still conduct the Thanksgiving service with his rasta men, despite not being on the podium.

When asked if he would be dejected if he did not win, Black Sherif responded that he would not be, but if he did become disappointed, "it would not follow me home."

He explained that disappointment is an emotion he does not wish to carry with him for an extended period of time, "it will stay in the Grand Arena dome."

The musician has his sights set on the 'Album of the Year' category, despite the fact that he is considered by many to be a strong contender for 'Artist of the Year'.

The contenders for the award are 'Jamz' by Sarkodie, 'My Diary' by Gyakie, '5 Star' by King Promise, 'Son of Jacob' by Kwesi Authur, and 'The Kados' by Joe Mettle.

Black Sherif believes that his debut album has a shot, despite the fact that the category is stacked with excellent works from the year under review.

The VGMa will take place on Saturday, May 6 at the Grand Arena of the Accra International Conference Center.

Black Sherif has eight nominations, including Best Hip-Hop Song, Best Afropop Song, Best Music Video, and Best Reggae/Dancehall Song.
