I have Been Nominated For Rapper Of The Year 4 Consecutive Years - Strongman Brags

Strongman, the CEO of Strongman Strong Empire, responded to detractors who questioned his relevance in the Ghanaian music industry.

The rapper known for his subliminal punchlines stated, "I have been nominated for rapper of the year for four consecutive years without missing out. None of the other rappers have been nominated like I have, so I wonder when they will start asking questions.

According to his response, the 'Rap Performance of the Year' award is voted on by the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) Board, so if the Board does not vote for the Artiste, it is difficult to obtain the award. "The honor is selected by the board, so it is difficult if the board does not vote for you. It is no longer about the supporters," Strongman stated in a TV3 interview.

According to him, receiving an award has three effects on the recipient: "first, it motivates you, second, it gives you a competitive advantage, and third, it makes you feel like your hard work has been rewarded."

Strongman argued, "Based on these three factors, I do not believe I have missed out on anything." Additionally, he stated, "if YouTube selects you as an influencer, it means you are doing something."

Strongman believes Amerado merits the rapper of the year award, which was won by Amerado. "I congratulated him on his victory. Other than Medikal, I congratulated all the winners via Twitter."

Strongman stated that he and Medikal are currently on excellent terms, adding, "He followed me on Twitter and I followed him back, so we linked up. He retweeted my recently released endeavor. Medikal is now my Gee."

Strongman, who is currently promoting his new song 'Odonkoaa' featuring Akwaboah, listed, in diminishing order, Sarkodie, Eno, Medikal, Amerado, and Lyrical Joe as his favorite rappers.

"I perform for over an hour, so it's absurd for anyone to claim I don't have hit tunes. If I make hit great, but if I don't, I use the Show to make business and make business," Strongman responded to critics who questioned why he is experiencing a lack of hit songs.
