Adane Best is grateful to youthful musician Black Sherif for honoring his legacy on stage during the 2023 edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) on Saturday night.
Blacko, after receiving the VGMA's Artiste of the Year award, sang a verse from the veteran musician's song titled 'Maafio' as a tribute. This was done to convey his confidence in winning the game.
He explained to TV3 that the song is a message of hope for his musical voyage and the award's predictions.
"Performing a composition by Adane Best onstage is akin to a culture. I truly adore him. We've been in love with him since childhood, not today or five years ago. He is so cherished by my mother. I've even written and recorded a tune for him," he added.
Adane Best unexpectedly called the interview session to convey his gratitude while he was speaking on the television platform.
He expressed gratitude that Blacko had reminded the audience and millions of viewers of the award ceremony of his music.
