"I was thrown out of a moving car after I refused to sleep with a truck driver" - Lady painfully reveals

Irene Mbithe is a lady aged 23 years old. Her story starts on August 20 when she left her home for a housegirl job in Mombasa, upon arrival her employer told her she wouldn't take her without an ID. Having no money for fare back, someone told her to ask for a lift from trucks plying along Mombasa Highway.

The truck driver at night made advances on her which she declined and was thrown out of a truck at Tsavo National Park. As she sat by the side of the highway, a hyena attacked her severely while the animal was pulling the flesh of her stomach, a Good Samaritan driving along the road, saw and heard her screams, he drove to the nearest town and came back with the police and Kws officials.

The animal had dragged her to the side of the bush, mauled her on her left side, she lost one of her eyes and an arm, the rescuers were only able to find her by following the blood trails and shot up in the sky to scare the animal. They were to abandon the body as they thought she was dead but the Samaritan insisted they take her to Makindu hospital where she arrived barely alive and was attended to.

She is now without an Eye, injured bones around the eye and no left hand, chest pains and a high pulse rate with sweating and severe headaches and body aches. She now has severe ulcers due to the stress that she is subjected to by her struggling Mum. She has called us severally thinking of attempting suicide.

Her mother is a single mum of 5, this vi girl is her 1st born. They are poor and no promise from the county or KWS has bore any fruits for three years after the incident. The girl is in pain, her eye and face unfortunately have deteriorated due to a lack of resources and poor management.
