NPP fulfills GH100,000 donation to Kejetia Market fire victims
The governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) presented GH100,000 in cash to the merchants affected by the fire at the Kejetia Market in Kumasi.


The presentation is in fulfillment of a promise made to the affected traders on March 20, 2023, when a delegation headed by the party's general secretary, attorney Justin Frimpong Kodua, visited them.

The money was distributed to the merchants on Friday by the Ashanti Regional Women's Organiser of the party, Nana Ama Ampomah, and a few party executives.

Nana Ama Ampomah, who presented the funds, stated that the government, through MASLOC and NBSSI, is assisting the afflicted merchants in resuming operations.


She also appealed to the authorities responsible for renovating the affected portion of the market so that the merchants can reclaim their stores.

Commission to investigate the incident at Kejetia market

Nana Akwasi Prempeh, president of the Federation of Traders, appealed to the government to assist the traders with loans so they could resume to business.
