John Dumelo Breaks Silence On Decision Of His Brother To Contest Him In Ayawaso Primaries

John Dumelo, a Ghanaian actor and political aspirant, has expressed his displeasure with Fred Nuamah's conduct in the lead-up to the Ayawaso West Wuogon NDC parliamentary primaries. Nuamah was his former best man and close friend.

Dumelo revealed on Twitter on May 30, 2023, in response to a fan's question about his relationship with his opponent, that "betrayal is an understatement," thereby heightening tensions between the two prominent figures.

Nuamah accused Dumelo of violating his oath not to run for office in Ayawaso West Wuogon in March.

This occurred after the latter gave an interview to Graphic Showbiz in which he expressed his displeasure with Dumelo's alleged U-turn.

According to Nuamah, Dumelo supported his decision to compete for public office.

Dumelo responded angrily to the news, vehemently denying the accusations and conveying a profound sense of betrayal.

As the dust settles, the duo is now competing for the chance to represent the party in the 2024 general elections at an unannounced date, after the (FEC) of the (NDC) put it on pause.

Fred Nuamah had expressed a desire to repair his relationship with Mr. Dumelo despite their disagreement, but so far nothing has succeeded.

"John Dumelo is not my friend; he is my brother, and I would never permit politics to come between us or destroy our brotherhood," he declared.

According to Mr. Nuamah, since their political party, the NDC, was a supporter of unity, it would be in his best interest to resolve the conflict amicably.

"Aside from the fact that John is my brother, the NDC is a single party, so this dispute between John and I would be resolved at home, and for all you know, it may already have been resolved," he explained.

The alleged betrayal has strained their once-burgeoning friendship, and it remains to be seen if John Dumelo will absolve his former best friend and smoke the peace pipe in the future.
