Just In : Akuffo-Addo Chases Senior Managers Of State Agencies

According to a memo from the Director of Human Resources of the Electoral Commission of Ghana to its Head Office and Regional Directors, the Presidency has requested that all employees of state agencies in senior management positions such as director and above submit their curriculum vitae to the Office of the President.

The memo dated May 29, 2023, and seen by Chris News Media, requested that affected individuals submit their CVs by May 29, 2023 at noon.

"This is to inform you that the Office of the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has requested the curriculum vitae of the Senior Management of State Agencies.

The memo instructed applicants to submit their CVs at noon, May 29.

It is unclear why the President is requesting the curriculum vitae of every individual in a senior management position at a state institution. Prof. Ransford Gyampo, a political scientist, has stated, however, that such demands constitute interference with independent institutions such as the Electoral Commission and should not be tolerated.
