Just In : Police Hands Cash, And Other Precious Items Found At Gomoa Accident Scene To GPRTU

Following a recent incident, the Winneba Divisional Motor Traffic and Transport Department (MTTD) of the Police Command delivered a variety of items and currency to the Buduburam GPRTU executives.

All of the items, which included $9,670 USD, $2,630 Liberian Dollars, GHC 470, six mobile phones, and personal effects, were discovered following the mishap.

According to Winneba Divisional MTTD Commander DSP Bertha Bogu, fifteen of the accident victims are being treated at the Winneba Trauma and Specialist Hospital.

In addition, one person has been referred to the Korle-bu Teaching Hospital for additional medical care.

Earlier reports from our news team indicated that while rescuing the victims, firefighters discovered more than $9,000 USD, which they promptly turned over to the police.

DSP Bertha Bogu has now verified that all recovered items have been given to the Buduburam GPRTU Chairman, who will then distribute them to the victims' families.

James Nuamah, chairman of the Ghana-Liberia branch of the Buduburam GPRTU, thanked the Winneba MTTD Police Command for its diligent efforts to rescue the victims.

In addition, he praised them for delivering all recovered items to their legitimate owners.
