MP's call me "Lionel Messi" due to my depth knowledge and skills in parliamentary issues - Hon Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu reveals

The Majority Leader of Parliament Hon Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu, has disclosed that, some leading members of the Minority in parliament has tagged him as the “Lionel Messi” of the House due to his in depth knowledge and skills in parliamentary issues.

He made this known while explaining the relationship between him and minority leaders on the Kumasi based OTEC 102.9 FM’s morning breakfast show Nyansapo on Monday February 13,2023.

“I am on Parliament’s Finance Committee with the current Minority Leader, Dr Cassiel Ato Forson, and i must say i am sometimes absent on the committee sittings due to other equally important parliament business, but my colleagues always call me anytime things get tough on the committee to add my expertise to the ongoing discuss”.

“I recall one time when i was called upon to discuss a very sensitive matter on the committee, and as soon as I got there, Dr Ato Forson said they(Majority) have brought their Lionel Messi and so he will definitely destroy our plans”. He told the host Captain Koda.

He however noted that the leadership of both minority and the majority has always build consensus in ensuring government business goes on without hiccups.
