MTN Ghana has introduced a new product called the Data Zone bundle, which offers users a bundle with a validity of one day at prices that are discounted at the point of purchase.

The announcement comes little under a month after the data bundle, which was regarded as having the most competitive pricing of any offer made by any company in the business, was terminated.

The Chief Executive Officer of MTN, Selorm Adadevoh, made these remarks on Thursday (27 April) in Accra during a meeting with the media and other stakeholders. He said, "We are bringing a new version of data zone at a higher price."

Suspension
MTN The MTN Data Zone package will no longer be available in Ghana as of April 5th, 2023, according to an announcement made by the country.

A review of the bundle offer was conducted in accordance with the Significant Market Power (SMP) directives that were applied to MTN Ghana in June 2020. According to these directions, MTN Ghana is not allowed to have the lowest price on any offer in the industry. As a result, the unique Data Zone bundle was suspended.

"We deeply regret that we were only able to communicate with our valued customers about this issue through the channels that are associated with service activation."

"At this time, we are in the process of engaging and coordinating with the regulator in order to seek alignment on a revised Data Zone bundle that will be reintroduced as soon as it is humanly possible. According to a statement that was released by MTN, "We will notify you in due course of any further developments."

Customers were reassured by MTN Ghana that the company will keep releasing cutting-edge products and services that were also reasonably priced for their advantage. MTN Ghana regards its client base as its most valuable asset.
