Mahama Praises Dampare , Ghana Police Service

The Overlord of the Dagbon traditional area, Ya Naa Gariba II, has praised the Dagbon Police for their exemplary performance in maintaining peace, security, and order in the region.

According to the king, the police leadership in the traditional area routinely consults with him on matters pertaining to the region's security.

"Your men are doing well in Dagbon. The security and tranquility we observe in the enclave are a result of their efficacy and constant coordination with my residence in addressing problems in the traditional area.

"I appreciate the patience and expertise you've demonstrated as IGP. You are sacrificing sleep and comfort for the benefit of the nation as a whole.The people and chiefs of Dagbon appreciate your work," the Overlord said when the Inspector General of Police, Dr. George Akuffo Dampare, paid him a courteous call during his working tour of the region.

The IGP and a few members of the police management board are traversing the Savanna and Northern regions to meet with local police personnel and hear their concerns firsthand.
